What Youll Be Doing (position summary): The Vulnerability Management team is responsible for the end-to-end identification, assessment, and remediation of critical vulnerabilities, ensuring endpoint security and operational resilience across CIBCs environment. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the organizations security posture by working closely with technology support teams, Cyber Security, and management to coordinate remediation efforts. The team actively monitors, analyzes, and responds to security threats, deploying updates and patches efficiently while supporting governance and compliance processes. Through proactive risk mitigation and process optimization, the team helps safeguard CIBCs systems and data. At CIBC India we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. How Youll Succeed (responsibilities): - Package and deploy applications in non-production environments, ensuring alignment with project requirements and organizational standards. - Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to coordinate application releases and resolve deployment-related issues. - Conduct installation, upgrade, and uninstallation testing in non-prod environments to validate package integrity and performance. - Coordinate and execute endpoint patching activities in non-production environments to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure. - Monitor, test, and validate patch deployments on endpoints, addressing any issues and ensuring minimal disruption to development and testing processes. - Maintain accurate records of packaging and deployment activities, including documentation of processes, test results, and remediation actions. - Identify and address packaging and deployment issues, proactively troubleshooting and implementing solutions to support successful releases. Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on packaging and deployment processes and assisting with process optimization. CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Collaborates with business units, project managers, and application owners to ensure accurate and timely deployments. JOB DIMENSIONS: - Directly coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. - Responsible for timely and accurate deployment requests. - Provides advisory and support services to ensure compliance and operational excellence Who You Are (skills/qualifications): Education-Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. Must Have Skills: - Strong understanding of vulnerability management processes and security frameworks - Experience with endpoint security tools and enterprise patch management solutions (e.g., SCCM) - Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Qualys, Nessus, Tenable) - Proficiency in Windows OS and application update deployment and troubleshooting - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, tracking remediation efforts, and generating reports - Ability to analyze security reports, identify risks, and prioritize remediation efforts - Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork - Ability to handle incidents, escalations, and manage mailbox communications efficiently - Experience in documentation, report generation, and supporting governance/compliance - Proactive approach to process improvement and automation in vulnerability remediation - Familiarity with cyber security concepts and threat landscapes - Problem-solving skills and ability to escalate issues appropriately for effective risk mitigation - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, tracking remediation efforts, and generating reports - Ability to write technical documentation - Embrace change and enable continuous improvement - Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills Good to Have: - Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and process improvement - Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Qualys, Nessus, Tenable) - Experience with data analysis tools and techniques to interpret security metrics - Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities - Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills - Project management skills to coordinate remediation activities and drive initiatives - Ability to write technical documentation - Embrace change and enable continuous improvement - Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills About CIBC: CIBC is a leading North American bank, with a history of more than 150 years of living our purpose - to help make your ambition a reality.
