Job Description
Key Responsibilities: Windows Server Administration - Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments in on-premises and AWS cloud environments. - Manage Active Directory, DNS, Group Policies, file shares, and Windows updates/patching. - Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of Windows workloads. AWS Migration & Cloud Operations - Plan, execute, and support migration of on-premises workloads to AWS using AWS Application Migration Service (MGN) and VM Import/Export. - Deploy and manage EC2 instances, configure ALB (Application Load Balancers), and ensure seamless connectivity and load distribution. - Implement EBS volumes and storage solutions for Windows workloads. - Configure Auto Scaling groups to ensure application availability and cost optimization. - Manage AWS networking components such as VPC, Route53, and security with IAM roles/policies. - Implement monitoring and management via AWS Systems Manager (SSM) for patching, automation, and compliance. Infrastructure as Code & Automation - Create, maintain, and optimize Terraform scripts for provisioning Windows-based infrastructure on AWS. - Automate deployment, scaling, and configuration tasks using AWS native tools and Terraform. - Ensure infrastructure is version-controlled, modular, and reusable. Security & Compliance - Implement AWS security best practices including IAM policies, security groups, and network ACLs. - Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements for Windows workloads in the cloud. Performance & Optimization - Monitor workloads, optimize performance, and ensure cost-efficient cloud usage. - Troubleshoot system and network issues to maintain high uptime and performance. - Provide recommendations for enhancements, automation, and cloud adoption strategies. Required Skills & Experience: - Proven experience in Windows Server administration (2012/2016/2019/2022). - Hands-on experience migrating workloads to AWS using Application Migration Service (MGN) or VM Import/Export. - Strong knowledge of AWS services: EC2, ALB, EBS, Auto Scaling, SSM, Route53, VPC, IAM. - Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code and automation. - Good understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture best practices. - Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills. Skills: EBS, Windows Server Experience: 4.00-6.00 Years
