Python Robot QA Shift time \: 2 PM to 11 PM Location \: Chennai / Hyderabad Work Mode \: work from office Skill \: Python Robot QA Years of Experience: 6 Years Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Consultant to design, build, and scale automated regression test suites using Robot Framework. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring release quality through effective test strategies and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities: - Design and implement automated regression test suites using Robot Framework to validate end-to-end release readiness. - Establish quality gates and execute test runs for pre-release, release, and post-release validation across various environments. - Develop custom Python-based keywords and maintain reusable test libraries within the Robot Framework ecosystem. - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI. - Execute automated API tests using Requests Library and Web UI tests using SeleniumLibrary or Browser Library (Playwright). - Identify, log, prioritize, and track release-blocking defects in Jira, facilitating quick triage with engineering teams. - Analyze test output, including XML, HTML reports, and log files, to diagnose test failures and flakiness. - Collaborate with DevOps, Product, and Developer teams to align release schedules, risk mitigation, and deployment readiness. - Manage test environments to ensure optimal testing conditions. Mandatory Skills: - Proven experience in release management. - Strong expertise in Robot Framework and Python programming. - Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI). - Solid understanding of API testing and web UI testing. - Proficient in defect management using Jira. Preferred Skills: - Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments. - Experience in Agile methodologies. - Knowledge of performance testing tools. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 5-7 years of relevant experience in automation testing and release management.
