Job Description
Varalia is at the forefront of sustainable manufacturing, producing high‑quality biochar to help industries lower their carbon emissions. Our Hinganghat facility operates a complex array of electrical systems that power the entire production line, from raw material handling to final product packaging. As an Electrician with an ITI or Diploma qualification, you will become an integral part of the Production & Maintenance department, ensuring that every piece of equipment runs reliably and efficiently. The role demands a hands‑on approach to both preventive and corrective maintenance. You will routinely inspect and service motors, variable frequency drives, motor control centers, transformers, pumps, blowers, and conveyor systems. By following a structured maintenance schedule, you will help prevent unexpected breakdowns, thereby protecting the plant’s output and reducing costly downtime. When equipment does fail, rapid diagnosis and repair are essential. You will use multimeters, clamp meters, and other diagnostic tools to pinpoint electrical faults, replace faulty components, and restore operation as quickly as possible. Your ability to troubleshoot complex control circuits and power distribution panels will directly influence the plant’s productivity and safety. Energy efficiency is a core focus for Varalia. You will be responsible for recording daily electricity meter readings, maintaining accurate logs, and preparing detailed consumption reports. By monitoring power usage trends, you will identify abnormal spikes or inefficiencies and alert management to take corrective action. This proactive approach supports our commitment to minimizing the plant’s carbon footprint. Safety is non‑negotiable. All maintenance activities must be performed while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering strictly to Lockout‑Tagout (LOTO) procedures. You will ensure that all safety protocols are followed, protecting both yourself and your colleagues from electrical hazards. Collaboration is key in our fast‑paced environment. You will work closely with production supervisors, other maintenance technicians, and the plant manager to coordinate maintenance windows, plan equipment upgrades, and support plant start‑up and shutdown phases. Effective communication and teamwork will enable you to align maintenance activities with production schedules, minimizing disruptions. In addition to routine duties, you will be called upon during emergency breakdowns. Your swift response and technical expertise will help mitigate production losses and keep the plant operating within its performance targets. You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting upgrades, recommending energy‑saving measures, and participating in root‑cause analysis of recurring issues. Varalia offers a dynamic work environment where dedication to sustainability and technical excellence is recognized and rewarded. This position provides a solid foundation for career growth in industrial electrical maintenance, with opportunities to develop expertise in advanced automation and energy management technologies.
