Full stack Intern

About the Role: We’re looking for a Fullstack Engineering Intern to join the team building SmartSense, our multi service Industrial IoT platform. You’ll work alongside engineers across Frontend, Backend, Data Science, and DevOps, getting hands-on exposure to a production-grade system handling real-time telemetry, alerting, and AI-native features. This is a strong fit for someone who wants to learn fast, build real things, and work close to the metal on a live product rather than a toy project. What You’ll Work On: - Building and shipping features across the frontend and backend of SmartSense - Working with our microservices stack (APIs, data pipelines, alerting engine) - Contributing to RAG-based and LLM-powered features as we build out AI-native capabilities - Working with structured (Postgres) and vector data stores - Collaborating with QA, DevOps, and product to take features from idea to production - Participating in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily engineering discussions Must-Haves: - Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and OOP concepts - A builder’s mindset: comfortable figuring things out, shipping, and iterating rather than waiting for perfect specs - Proficiency in at least one of: Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript,orGo - Familiarity with at least one backend framework (Spring Boot,FastAPI,Express, Gin, or similar) - Exposure to relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL - Familiarity with React or Angular for frontend work - Basic understanding of Git and collaborative development workflows - Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment Good to Have: - Exposure to RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines or LLM-based application development - Familiarity with vector databases (e.g. Milvus, Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector) - Hands-on experience with any cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure) - Understanding of REST API design and microservices architecture - Exposure to message queues/streaming systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) - Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and basic CI/CD concepts - Prior personal projects, open-source contributions, or hackathon experience What We Offer: - Real ownership on a production Industrial IoT platform used by 100+ customers - Direct mentorship from senior engineers and architects - Exposure to modern AI-native product development (RAG, LLMs, vector search) - A fast-paced environment where you’ll ship code that matters, not busywork - Potential for full-time conversion based on performance
