Senior QA Engineer Location: Hybrid, Gujarat Experience: Minimum 5 years Salary: Up to ₹25 LPA Overview We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer for a leadership-oriented quality engineering role. This position is not merely focused on hands-on testing but emphasizes driving QA strategy and fostering a culture of quality across our web and mobile platforms. Key Responsibilities Drive QA Strategy: Lead the QA strategy and quality ownership across web and mobile platforms. Team Leadership: Mentor and grow a team of QA engineers, fostering a high-performance culture. Modern Tool Adoption: Spearhead QA-related Proofs of Concept (POCs) to evaluate and adopt modern tools, frameworks, and AI-driven practices. Non-Functional Quality: Strengthen non-functional quality aspects such as performance, load, and security. Testing Frameworks: Establish scalable, reusable, and intelligent testing frameworks. Quality Culture: Champion a quality-first culture and promote continuous improvement across the QA function. Core Skills Experience: 5+ years of QA experience with proven team management or QA leadership. QA Strategy Ownership: Demonstrated track record of owning QA strategy across projects, not just executing tests. Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Playwright (web) and Appium + WebdriverIO (mobile) with JavaScript/Node.js and BDD. Non-Functional Testing: Hands-on experience with non-functional testing — load, performance, and security. CI/CD Integration: Strong experience in CI/CD integration and the ability to set technical direction. Stakeholder Communication: Excellent communication skills, comfortable engaging with engineering leads, PMs, and clients. SDLC & STLC Understanding: Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and Agile delivery methodologies. Preferred Skills AI-Driven QA Tooling: Experience in introducing AI-driven QA tooling into a team and measuring its impact. Security & Performance Tools: Hands-on experience with security testing tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP, Burp) and performance tools (e.g., k6, JMeter). Consulting Delivery Background: Background in client-facing or consulting delivery environments. Database Testing: Exposure to database testing and automation at scale. Business Impact Release Predictability: Improve release predictability across client projects. Defect Leakage Reduction: Reduce defect leakage to production and lower post-release support load.
