Lead QA Tester (Quality Center / QTP / LoadRunner)

Lead QA Tester – Albany, NY Responsibilities • Write test plans and design manual and automated test scripts based on software specifications. • Execute manual and automated tests for new application functions, defects, and regression testing. • Maintain test cases and migrate manual tests into an automated testing tool. • Participate in business requirements gathering, create test data, and perform performance testing tasks. • Test application code, middleware code, templates, and database tables. • Provide training and mentoring to new project team members. • Troubleshoot and provide end‑user support/problem resolution when necessary. Qualifications • Experience with all facets of the software development process – research, design, programming, testing, and implementation. • Ability to provide guidance to large teams and recognized as a top professional in the field. • 84 months of experience analyzing and interpreting business requirement documents (BRDs) and use cases. • 84 months of experience documenting and implementing application test plans, identifying test cases, writing and executing test scripts, and communicating problems to the development team. • 84 months of experience using HP Quality Center/Microfocus Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and HP Quick Test Professional (QTP) or HP/Microfocus Unified Functional Testing (UFT) for automated regression testing. • 84 months of experience designing, developing, and executing test strategies for a web‑based application in a large, complex human services delivery system. • 36 months of experience as a test lead, providing direction and training to other project team members. • 48 months of experience with SQL Navigator, SOAP UI, Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS), and HP LoadRunner (or Performance Center) for load and performance testing. • Bachelor’s Degree.
