Job Description

Engineering & Technology India Position Deltatre's QA function holds the line on quality across the OTT and digital products that power major sports organisations, rights owners, media companies, and some of the world's leading broadcasters. The team is responsible for test coverage, release confidence, and defect resolution across web, mobile, and connected TV products used by millions of consumers, often during live events and major broadcast windows. As Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks across web, API, and mobile surfaces. You will work closely with developers and QA colleagues to raise test coverage, embed automation into the CI/CD pipeline, and drive defects through to resolution. Responsibilities Test automation and framework development - Design, build, and maintain automated test suites for web, mobile, and API layers - Select and implement automated testing tools such as Selenium and JMeter, appropriate to the system under test - Write and maintain test scripts using Bash, JavaScript, or Node.js - Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous feedback on build quality Test coverage and execution - Test APIs, web services, and web pages for functional correctness - Write clear, comprehensive test plans and test cases - Execute regression, smoke, and release testing across the product suite - Identify gaps in existing test coverage and propose automation to close them Performance, scale, and security - Test high-traffic, public-facing web properties for scalability and performance - Assess server-side code for performance bottlenecks under load - Contribute to security testing as part of the release cycle Defect management and collaboration - Log, prioritise, and track defects through to resolution - Work with developers, Product Owners, and QA colleagues to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria - Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning and backlog refinement Advise clients and internal teams on testing approach and technical risk Requirements You have built and maintained automated test frameworks in a production environment, not just run existing scripts. You know how to weigh which layer (unit, API, UI) is worth automating, and you can make the case for it to a team that hasn't done it before. Required - 5+ years' experience in web-based and/or mobile quality assurance - Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies and testing processes - Hands-on experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium and JMeter - Scripting experience in Bash, JavaScript, or Node.js - Experience testing APIs, web services, and web pages - Experience writing clear, comprehensive test plans and test cases - Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process - Working knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Build practices - Experience working with a cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP) - Demonstrated experience in defect management and prioritisation - Clear analytical skills, with a track record of driving issues to resolution Valued - Experience testing high-traffic, public-facing websites - Experience with security testing - Experience with scalability and performance testing of server-side code - Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, or other container orchestration tools - Background in streaming, OTT, or media technology Who Thrives Here QA Automation at Deltatre sits at the intersection of engineering rigour and live-event pressure. The frameworks you build determine how quickly the team can catch a regression before it reaches a broadcast window, and the coverage decisions you make have consequences beyond a single sprint. A good Senior QA Automation Engineer at Deltatre tends to explain technical trade-offs clearly to both engineers and clients, follows through on deadlines the team is counting on, and looks for the next automation opportunity before being asked to. Process and what to expect - Introductory conversation: a step for us to get to know each other better, and for us to answer all questions you might have around Deltatre. - Codility assessment: a structured assessment on the Codility platform that you complete in your own time. It gives us a hands-on view of your technical capability and we use the results as a basis for the technical conversation. - 1-hour Technical round of Interview: we will deep dive on your experience and on the Codility assessment, and explore the automation decisions and approaches you have used in your past work. - 1-hour Competency Based Interview: we will ask you situational questions around how you deal with real-life scenarios at work. Easier doing it, more than explaining it. If any of these formats would be difficult for you, tell us — we adjust regularly and can usually accommodate. Accessibility and accommodation questions are welcome at any stage. Tell us what would work for you.
