Job Title: Senior Test Engineer- QA Automation Testing Position: Senior Test Engineer- QA Automation Testing Experience: 6-14 Years Category: Testing Shift: 1PM to 10PM Main location: India, Telangana, Hyderabad Position ID: J0726-1011 Employment Type: Full Time CGI is seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Selenium, and Cucumber to develop and maintain robust test automation frameworks. The ideal candidate should have experience in UI and API automation, test framework development, and CI/CD integration while working in Agile environments. Your future duties and responsibilities: Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks. • Develop automated test scripts for Web, API, and backend applications. • Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing. • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and define test strategies. • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines. • Analyze test execution results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams for timely resolution. • Prepare test plans, test cases, defect reports, and automation execution reports. • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives. • Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: • Strong experience in Selenium WebDriver with Java. • Hands-on experience in TestNG or JUnit. • Expertise in API Automation using REST Assured or Postman. • Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber. • Strong knowledge of SQL and database validation. • Experience with Git, Maven, and Jenkins. • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines. • Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. • Experience in defect management tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps. Preferred Skills • Experience in performance testing using JMeter. • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes. • Experience testing microservices and distributed applications. • Familiarity with Linux/Unix commands. • Basic scripting knowledge in Python or Shell is an added advantage About CGI : CGI is an equal opportunity employer.
