Role Summary / Purpose Colgate-Palmolive is seeking a skilled Senior Technical Specialist cum Business Analyst to join our Global Consumer Affairs (GCA) technology team. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between business strategy and technical execution, providing leadership, project management, and consultation to Consumer Affairs operations worldwide. You will serve as the primary operational and technical liaison across global and regional teams—translating workflows into robust digital solutions, managing vendor relationships, ensuring strict regulatory compliance, and driving innovative, low-effort consumer experiences through an omni-channel approach. Key Responsibilities Business Analysis & Requirements Engineering - Stakeholder Alignment: Partner closely with global, regional, and subsidiary Consumer Affairs teams to deeply understand operational workflows, pain points, and strategic goals. - Requirements Translation: Validate, prioritize, and translate business user challenges and needs into clear technical specifications, functional requirement documents, and system configurations. Project Management & System Evolution - Project Leadership: Support existing Consumer Affairs platforms while leading future capability expansions, upgrades, and system evolutions. Develop detailed project plans with key activities, deliverables, and timelines. - Meeting & Progress Tracking: Facilitate regular cross-functional project meetings, track deliverables, manage project risks, and quickly resolve or escalate blocking issues. Vendor Collaboration & Technical Support - Vendor & Partner Interface: Function as the key technical interface with external IT vendors (e.g., Emplifi, 1440) and internal engineering teams to ensure enhancements and bug fixes meet specifications and SLAs. - Application Support & Issue Resolution: Manage troubleshooting workflows and serve as the escalation point for technical issues impacting Consumer Affairs platforms, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Quality Assurance, Change Control & Administration - Testing & Quality Assurance: Define User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategies, develop testing protocols, supervise testing cycles, and validate software releases before deployment. - Change & Access Management: Oversee system access control and global role management. Manage the system change control process, including advising, filing, implementing, and quality checking changes. Compliance & Governance - Regulatory Fitness: Ensure all technologies and platforms meet CP and Consumer Affairs compliance, security, privacy, and records retention requirements. - Validation & Audit Trails: Maintain the validated state of systems following industry standards and CP policies, including active audit trail management and compliance documentation. Enablement, Training & Emerging Innovation - Knowledge Management & Training: Develop technical training materials, tools, and best practices. Provide and facilitate training on technology platforms to key global Consumer Affairs personnel. - Strategic Technology Innovation: Proactively evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., CRM platforms, omni-channel tools, AI/chatbots, low-code/no-code platforms) to enhance Consumer Affairs strategic imperatives. Required Qualifications - Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related domain. - Experience: 5+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst, Technical Specialist, Systems Analyst, or Technical Project Lead. - Project Management Expertise: Demonstrated track record of managing multiple parallel priorities, building detailed project plans, and delivering projects on schedule. - Vendor Management: Proven ability to act as the operational and technical interface with external software vendors, tracking SLAs and reviewing deliverables. - Systems & Technical Competency: Strong analytical skills in system configuration, troubleshooting workflows, global user access management, and change control processes. - Compliance Awareness: Familiarity with compliance standards, privacy regulations, security protocols, and records retention in consumer service environments. - Communication & Cultural Competency: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical partners across global matrix environments, cultures, and time zones. Preferred Qualifications - Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent. - Technical Integration & Tools: Familiarity with integration methodologies (APIs), SQL, visualization tools (e.g., Sigma, DOMO), and low-code/no-code platforms. - Documentation & Governance: Strong understanding of formal technical documentation, system validation, and knowledge management practices. - Consumer Orientation: Strategic mindset with a strong passion for delivering low-effort, positive consumer experiences and driving functional progress. Nice to Have - Emplifi Suite Experience: Hands-on exposure to Emplifi offerings (Agent, Social Marketing Cloud, Knowledge). - Salesforce Integrations: Experience with Salesforce applications such as Reputation Studio by 1440.io.
