Application Support Engineer - ServiceNow

As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by actively monitoring and investigating issues across various critical business systems. This role requires a dynamic approach to identifying problems, analyzing system components, and ensuring smooth operation by promptly resolving disruptions. The position demands continuous vigilance and collaboration with different teams to maintain system reliability and support business continuity effectively. Required Skills and Experience 4 8 years of overall ServiceNow development experience with strong exposure to ITOM. Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB, and MID Server setup and troubleshooting. Strong understanding of CMDB architecture, CI classes, relationships, Identification and Reconciliation Engine, and data governance. Strong Knowledge of Service Mapping approaches including pattern-based, traffic-based, and tag-based mapping. Design and maintain Service Mapping solutions to build accurate application and business service dependency maps. Collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, and operations teams to gather requirements and validate discovered data and service maps. Strong proficiency in scripting Comprehensive understanding and background in ServiceNow Service Mapping and how it should populate the CMDB Experience with Public and private cloud solutions such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and their corresponding APIs.Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in ServiceNow.- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities within complex software environments.- Experience in incident management and root cause analysis.- Ability to work with multiple system components and integrate solutions effectively.- Good communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.- Familiarity with IT service management principles and practices. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in ServiceNow.- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.- A 15 years full time education is required.
