Job Description We are seeking 3+Y experienced Azure Automation & Integration Developer to join our growing Business Support practice. The successful candidate will focus on the design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and support of Azure Function Apps, Logic Apps, Runbooks and other integration solutions, alongside the wider Azure services ecosystem that supports enterprise automation and integration capabilities. This role will be a hands-on development-focused position, building and improving automation workflows, integrations, runbooks, scripts, and supporting Azure services, while also acting as a key escalation point for support issues and contributing to continuous improvement across the environment. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, enhance, manage, monitor, and maintain Function Apps, Runbooks, and Logic Apps, to ensure reliable and efficient execution. - Develop solutions that integrate with Azure platform services, including Storage Accounts, Service Bus, App Services, and Key Vault, while supporting their ongoing administration. - Support production solutions by responding to and resolving incidents, service requests, and support tickets in line with agreed SLAs. - Investigate and troubleshoot failures within automation processes, integration workflows, and scheduled jobs. - Develop, test, and maintain PowerShell and Python scripts to automate operational tasks, extend integrations, and enhance existing solutions. - Produce and maintain technical documentation, including runbooks, workflow designs, support procedures, and knowledge base articles. - Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to design and deliver new automation and integration capabilities. - Participate in development lifecycle and change management activities, ensuring solutions are designed, tested, reviewed, deployed, and supported safely. - Contribute to incident reviews, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvement initiatives. Essential Criteria - Proven hands-on development experience with Azure Automation, including the creation, enhancement, testing, and management of at least one of Function Apps, Logic Apps, and Runbooks. - Experience developing solutions that use Azure services such as Storage Accounts, Service Bus, App Services, and Key Vault. - Strong PowerShell scripting skills for solution development, automation, integration, and operational support. - Experience applying development practices such as source control, code review, reusable modules, testing, and structured deployment. - Experience working within ITSM environments using tools such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or Zendesk. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across cloud-based and integrated systems. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced support or managed services environment. - Strong team collaboration skills and willingness to support broader operational and service delivery activities. Desirable Criteria - Experience with Azure DevOps, including source control, branching, pull requests, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation. - Knowledge of Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights. - Python scripting experience for automation, integration development, and Azure service interactions. - Experience building reusable scripts, modules, APIs, or integration components to support scalable automation solutions. - Understanding of process automation and business workflow optimisation. - Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Managed Identities, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). - Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-204, or AZ-400. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. - Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications. - Experience supporting enterprise-scale Azure environments.
