Job Description

- Lead the end-to-end upgrade of Oracle OSM from 7.4 to 8.0, including planning, execution, validation, and stabilization. - Perform pre-upgrade impact analysis on cartridges, workflows, rules, XQuery, automation plug-ins, and integrations. - Migrate and refactor custom OSM cartridges to align with OSM 8.0 architecture and standards. - Address deprecated features and implement required OSM 8.0 best practices. - Install, configure, and maintain OSM 8.0 environments (DEV, TEST, PROD). - Manage WebLogic Server domains, JMS, security roles, users, and performance tuning related to OSM. - Develop and modify OSM cartridges, including: Order models, Orchestration plans, Automation plug-ins, XQuery and XPath logic - Troubleshoot order fallout, orchestration issues, and automation failures. - Ensure compatibility with upstream/downstream systems (e.g., BRM, CRM, SOA, EAI, Inventory systems). - Validate integrations with external systems after upgrade. - Support unit testing, system testing, regression testing, and production cutover. - Resolve upgrade-related defects and support post-go-live stabilization. - Prepare upgrade documentation, runbooks, rollback plans, and production support handover documents. - Work closely with architects, middleware teams, DBAs, network teams, and business stakeholders. - Provide knowledge transfer and support to operations and support teams. Required Skills - 7 to 9+ years of OSM administration and development experience - Oracle OSM hands-on experience (7.x and/or 8.x). - Experience in OSM upgrade or migration projects, preferably from 7.4 to 8.x. - Strong knowledge of: OSM Cartridge Design, Order Orchestration, Fallout & Recovery mechanisms, Rules, XQuery, XPath - Experience with Oracle WebLogic Server administration. - Strong SQL skills; experience with Oracle Database. - Understanding of telecom order management concepts (orchestration, fulfilment etc). - Experience with integrations involving BRM, SOA Suite, AIA, CRM, Inventory systems. - Familiarity with XML, SOAP/REST services. - Exposure to Linux/Unix environments and basic shell scripting.
