Mobile QA Engineer

Mobile QA Engineer: Location: Bangalore WFO Notice: 0 to 15 days (Immediate joiners preferred) As an Intermediate Mobile QA Engineer , you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of AI-powered mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms. Your responsibilities will include: - Conduct comprehensive manual testing of the LifeSaver mobile application across iOS and Android devices to understand system behavior, identify edge cases, and uncover potential risks. - Work across diverse environments and device types, including native mobile applications, web platforms, backend systems, and data-driven integrations. - Evaluate AI-powered workflows and autonomous agents , focusing on accuracy, consistency, reliability, and user trust rather than strictly deterministic results. - Utilize exploratory testing and risk-based testing methodologies to assess probabilistic behavior, failure scenarios, and mobile-specific challenges such as connectivity changes, permissions, push notifications, location services, and background/foreground transitions. - Design, develop, and maintain automated tests across UI, API, and service layers using modern testing tools and frameworks such as BrowserStack, Atlassian, and Playwright . - Continuously improve mobile test automation frameworks, testing standards, and quality assurance best practices. - Define and implement effective testing strategies for complex, multi-step workflows that combine traditional business logic with AI-driven functionality. - Validate application behavior across multiple devices, operating system versions, screen resolutions, and manufacturers while supporting configuration-driven and AI-assisted use cases. - Assess mobile application performance under real-world conditions, including battery usage, memory consumption, storage constraints, and fluctuating network environments. - Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Platform teams to improve testability, identify risks, and establish quality expectations. - Participate in defect triage, root cause analysis, and issue resolution, particularly for device-specific, intermittent, or non-deterministic defects. - Integrate both manual and automated mobile testing into CI/CD pipelines using simulators, emulators, and physical device farms to support high-quality releases. Required Qualifications To thrive in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience: - 4+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance (QA) with a strong emphasis on mobile testing, test automation, and exploratory testing . - Proven expertise in manual testing of complex mobile applications and workflows on both iOS and Android platforms. - Hands-on experience testing AI-powered applications, intelligent workflows, or systems with probabilistic behavior . - Strong understanding of mobile testing concepts, including device fragmentation, OS compatibility, application permissions, network connectivity states, and background/foreground behavior. - Experience applying exploratory, risk-based, and system-level testing approaches to identify quality risks effectively. - Ability to evaluate AI-driven outcomes based on correctness, consistency, reliability, and user confidence rather than traditional pass/fail criteria. - Practical experience testing both mobile applications and their associated APIs. - Familiarity with cloud-based testing and device farm solutions such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or Firebase Test Lab . - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines , automated test execution, and modern software delivery practices. - Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify subtle defects and edge-case scenarios. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate testing risks, uncertainties, and quality assessments to product and engineering teams. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. - Experience in mobile performance testing, accessibility testing, or security testing is considered an added advantage.
