From our earliest days as a pioneer of modern transportation, we have sought to make the world a better place one that benefits lives, communities and the planet Job Title: Back-end Software Development Engineering Engineer III Location: Chennai Work Type: Hybrid (4 Days work From Office) Position Description: - We are looking for an experienced Full-Stack Developer with strong hands-on experience in Node.js, React, Python, and/or Go to design and develop intuitive user interfaces and high-performance backend systems. - The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in REST APIs, automation scripting, API development, web servers, application testing, deployment, OpenShift, and Red Hat technologies. - The candidate should be comfortable working across different programming languages and selecting the right technology based on the application requirements. - Experience with Kubernetes, GCP, virtualization technologies, OSv, Tekton, ArgoCD, and Ansible will be an added advantage. - Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are also required. - Full-Stack Developer (Node/React/Python/Go) Summary: - We are looking for a versatile Full-Stack Developer to join our engineering team. - You will be responsible for crafting intuitive user interfaces and maintaining high-performance backend systems. - Our ideal candidate is comfortable switching between languages and understands the right tool for the job whether thats a real-time API in Node.js, a data-intensive script in Python, or a high-concurrency service in Go. Required Skills and Qualifications: - Strong experience in Node.js, React, Python, and/or Go - Hands-on experience in developing REST APIs and backend services - Experience with Automation and Automation Scripting - Strong knowledge of API development and Web Servers - Experience with Red Hat and OpenShift - Experience in Application Testing, Deployment, and Technology Integration - Knowledge of PowerShell and scripting - Understanding of Information Security and Change Management - Experience working with Continuous Improvement processes - Strong Code Assessment and debugging skills - Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Nice-to-Have Skills: - Cloud Infrastructure: Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) - Virtualization: Understanding of Virtualization technologies and exposure to OSv - Cloud-Native CI/CD: Exposure to Tekton for Kubernetes-native pipelines and ArgoCD for GitOps-based continuous delivery. - Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Familiarity with Ansible for automated configuration and deployment. Prac. in 1 lang. 6+ years in IT; 4+ years in development Experience Preferred: Technical Qualifications - Experience: 3-5 years of professional software development experience. - Frontend: Proficiency in React.js, including state management (Redux, Context API) and modern hooks. - Backend (Node.js): Strong experience with Express. - Automation (Python): Comfortable with data structures and scripting. - Backend (Go): Practical experience building concurrent services, handling Goroutines, and idiomatic Go patterns. - Database: Knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (Firestore). - DevOps/Tools: Familiarity with Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines. Education Required: - Bachelor's Degree Education Preferred: - Master's Degree Additional Information : Key Responsibilities: - Frontend Excellence: Build and maintain responsive, component-based UIs using React.js. - Feature Development: Design and implement robust backend services using Node.js, Python, and Go. - API Design: Develop and document RESTful APIs. Code Quality: Participate in code reviews and write comprehensive unit/integration tests. - Collaboration: Work closely with the team to translate requirements into technical specifications.
