Job Description We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring for the position of System Admin in Chennai, Tamil Nadu . Sisco Jobs is seeking a skilled and motivated professional to maintain IT systems, provide technical support, administer user access, and help ensure reliable day-to-day technology operations. Key Responsibilities - Administer and maintain Windows-based systems, desktops, and related IT infrastructure. - Manage user accounts, permissions, access controls, and Active Directory environments. - Monitor system health, performance, storage, and availability. - Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and network-related issues. - Perform routine system updates, patching, backups, and recovery activities. - Configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity and common network services. - Maintain technical documentation, system configurations, and support records. - Support users with IT incidents and escalate complex infrastructure issues when required. Required Skills - Windows Administration — Ability to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows environments. - Active Directory — Working knowledge of users, groups, permissions, and access administration. - Networking — Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, and connectivity troubleshooting. - System Troubleshooting — Ability to identify and resolve common hardware, software, and OS issues. - Backup & Recovery — Understanding of routine backup, restoration, and system recovery practices. Preferred Skills - Basic PowerShell or scripting knowledge. - Familiarity with virtualization technologies. - Knowledge of IT security, patching, and endpoint management practices. Work Experience Requirements The posting specifies 2 years of experience . Relevant experience in system administration, infrastructure support, desktop/server administration, or a similar IT support environment is appropriate for this role. Education - Minimum: Typical — Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or related discipline. - Preferred: Typical — B.E./B.Tech/BCA/B.Sc IT or equivalent. - Additional: Typical — Microsoft, networking, cloud, or system administration certifications are advantageous.
