Position Description: We are looking for an experienced Performance Test Engineer with 7+ years of total testing experience and 5+ years of hands-on performance testing experience. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in LoadRunner, performance engineering practices, workload modeling, performance test execution, monitoring, analysis, and bottleneck identification. Experience in the Insurance domain is preferred, along with the ability to analyze performance issues, identify root causes, and provide actionable recommendations to improve application scalability, stability, and reliability. Your future duties and responsibilities Design and execute performance testing strategies based on business and technical requirements. Develop workload models representing realistic production usage patterns. Plan and execute various performance tests, including: Load Testing, Stress Testing, Soak/Endurance Testing, Spike Testing Develop, enhance, and maintain performance test scripts using LoadRunner. Perform correlation and parameterization to create reliable and data-driven performance scripts. Define performance SLAs, workload requirements, response-time targets, throughput, and scalability objectives. Execute performance test cycles and analyze test results against defined SLAs. Monitor application, infrastructure, database, and system-level metrics during performance tests. Use Datadog and AppDynamics for application and infrastructure monitoring and performance analysis. Identify performance bottlenecks across application, database, network, infrastructure, and third-party integrations. Perform root-cause analysis of performance issues and work closely with development, architecture, infrastructure, and database teams to resolve them. Prepare detailed performance test reports, dashboards, and executive-level summaries. Compare performance results across different builds/releases and identify performance degradation or improvements. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business scenarios and translate them into effective performance test workloads. Support capacity planning and scalability assessments based on performance test results. Participate in performance engineering discussions and provide recommendations for application optimization. Ensure performance testing activities align with project timelines, quality standards, and release objectives. Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role Must-Have Skills 7+ years of overall software testing experience. 5+ years of hands-on Performance Testing experience. 2+ years of LoadRunner experience. Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies and lifecycle. Hands-on experience with: Load Testing Stress Testing Soak/Endurance Testing Spike Testing Strong knowledge of workload modeling and realistic production workload simulation. Experience defining and validating SLAs and performance benchmarks. Strong understanding of bottleneck identification and root-cause analysis. Hands-on experience with correlation and parameterization. Strong understanding of data-driven performance testing. Experience with performance monitoring and analysis using Datadog and/or AppDynamics. Ability to analyze application and infrastructure performance metrics and correlate them with test results. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good understanding of performance metrics such as response time, throughput, TPS, concurrency, CPU, memory, and resource utilization. Experience working with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, DevOps, infrastructure, and database teams. Good-to-Have Skills Experience in the Insurance domain, particularly insurance applications or platforms. Experience with performance engineering and capacity planning. Knowledge of CI/CD integration for performance testing. Experience integrating performance tests with tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or Git-based pipelines. Knowledge of APM and observability platforms beyond Datadog and AppDynamics. Experience with database performance monitoring and basic SQL analysis. Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Experience analyzing application performance across microservices and distributed architectures. Knowledge of REST/SOAP API performance testing. Experience with performance testing in containerized environments such as Docker/Kubernetes. Familiarity with performance trend analysis and capacity forecasting. Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills. CGI is an equal opportunity employer.
