Senior Automation Tester

Let’s talk. We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Selenium, Cucumber, and Karate Framework. The ideal candidate should have experience in UI and API automation, BDD frameworks, test automation framework development, and CI/CD integration. The candidate should be passionate about delivering high-quality software through automation and Agile methodologies. Your future duties and responsibilities: Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, and Karate Framework. Develop and enhance automation frameworks following best practices such as Page Object Model (POM) and Hybrid Framework. Automate UI, API, and end-to-end testing. Create and maintain BDD feature files and step definitions using Cucumber. Develop API automation scripts using Karate Framework. Execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and integration test suites. Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools. Analyze test results, log defects, and collaborate with development teams for resolution. Perform database validation using SQL. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Continuously improve automation coverage, framework stability, and testing processes. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Required Skills Strong programming skills in Java. Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver. Expertise in Cucumber (BDD) and Gherkin. Hands-on experience with Karate Framework for API and end-to-end automation. Strong knowledge of TestNG or JUnit. Experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks. Good understanding of REST APIs and API testing concepts. Experience with Maven/Gradle for build management. Experience with Git for version control. Hands-on experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools. Strong SQL skills for database validation. Good understanding of STLC, SDLC, and Agile Scrum methodologies. Preferred Skills Experience with REST Assured or Postman. Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with cloud testing platforms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs. Performance testing knowledge using JMeter is an added advantage. Basic scripting knowledge in Python or Shell. Familiarity with Jira, Zephyr, or ALM.
