This role is for one of Weekday’s clients Salary range: Rs 4000000 - Rs 6000000 (ie INR 40 - 60 LPA) Min Experience: 20+ years Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka JobType: full-time We are hiring a senior technology leader to lead and grow large Application Development & Managed Services portfolios for global Banking and Financial Services clients. This is a business-critical leadership role that combines technology delivery, client engagement, and team building. Requirements Key Responsibilities - Lead large-scale application development, maintenance, enhancement, modernization, and cloud transformation programs for global BFSI clients - Own delivery quality, operational performance, and client outcomes across a portfolio of accounts, not a single client - Build strong relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, and senior business stakeholders as a trusted technology partner - Identify opportunities to expand and deepen existing client engagements by understanding their priorities, roadmaps, and business needs - Provide technical leadership across custom applications, enterprise systems, ERP/CRM, APIs, integrations, and cloud-native platforms - Drive legacy modernization, cloud migration, re-platforming, and engineering transformation initiatives - Oversee the full application lifecycle – development, testing, release, production support, and continuous improvement - Manage and scale large, multi-disciplinary teams including architects, engineering managers, delivery and program managers, and PMO - Build talent pipelines, develop leaders, and plan for resources, capacity, and succession across technology stacks - Partner with sales, solutioning, and architecture teams on strategic pursuits, including solution design, estimation, and transition planning - Drive automation, AI-led engineering, DevSecOps, and cloud adoption to improve productivity and efficiency - Strengthen operating models, governance, delivery methodologies, and performance metrics for a scaling services business - Maintain strong focus on quality, SLAs, margins, risk, and customer satisfaction - Build a culture of high performance, agility, innovation, and accountability Experience & Qualifications - 20+ years of experience in application development, application management, technology delivery, solutioning, or managed services - Background in IT services, technology consulting, or digital engineering organizations - Deep experience in Banking & Financial Services, ideally across multiple global banks or financial institutions - Strong track record managing large technology portfolios, multi-tower engagements, and globally distributed teams - Solid understanding of enterprise, custom, and cloud-native applications, ERP/CRM, APIs, and integration platforms - Experience driving application modernization and cloud transformation programs - Exposure to AI/GenAI, automation, DevSecOps, and platform engineering is an added advantage - Proven experience managing large revenue/P&L portfolios and delivery economics - Strong ability to engage with CIO/CTO/CDO-level stakeholders and senior business leaders - Experience leading through teams rather than working as an individual technical specialist - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred Must-have skills P&L ownership, Application management services, BFSI Good-to-have skills Application developement, large portfolio management, business development
