Position Summary The DEX Platform Engineering team builds and operates the engineering platforms that power UKG's enterprise business systems, enabling secure, scalable, and highly automated software delivery across Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, enterprise analytics, and cloud services. We are seeking a Senior D365 Platform Cloud Engineer to lead the evolution of our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations platform through modern Platform Engineering practices. This role combines Dynamics 365 expertise with cloud engineering, DevOps, automation, AI, and enterprise platform governance to deliver reliable, secure, and self-service capabilities for engineering teams. Working across Azure and selected Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, you will build reusable platform capabilities, automate operational processes, improve developer productivity, and support strategic enterprise initiatives including ERP modernization, Customer360, enterprise analytics, and AI-enabled engineering. This is an engineering role focused on building platforms rather than performing manual administration, with a strong emphasis on automation, reliability, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Microsoft Dynamics 365 Platform Engineering - Own the engineering, administration, and continuous improvement of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations environments across Development, UAT, Performance, and Production. - Manage platform lifecycle activities including environment provisioning, refreshes, releases, upgrades, patching, performance optimization, and disaster recovery testing. - Define and maintain platform standards, governance, architecture patterns, and operational best practices. - Partner with business and application teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient ERP platform capabilities. - Support enterprise ERP modernization and platform transformation initiatives. Cloud Engineering & DevOps - Design, implement, and maintain enterprise CI/CD pipelines across Azure DevOps and Git-based workflows. - Automate application deployment, platform validation, release management, and operational processes. - Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, or equivalent technologies. - Improve platform reliability through GitOps, release automation, observability, and infrastructure governance. - Optimize cloud platforms for security, performance, scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency. Platform Automation & Self-Service Engineering Design and develop reusable engineering services using technologies such as: - PowerShell - Python - Azure Automation - Azure Functions - Logic Apps - Power Automate Automate key operational activities including: - Environment refreshes - Release validation - Platform health monitoring - Security compliance reporting - Access governance - Backup validation - Capacity management - Audit evidence collection Build self-service capabilities that reduce operational effort, improve platform consistency, and enable engineering teams to move faster. Power Platform & Dataverse Engineering - Design, develop, and support enterprise solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and the Power Platform Administration Center. - Implement governance, lifecycle management, security, and operational monitoring across Power Platform environments. - Build secure integrations between Dynamics 365, Salesforce, enterprise applications, and cloud platforms. - Partner with business teams to deliver low-code solutions that improve operational efficiency and user experience. AI & Intelligent Platform Engineering (Preferred Experience) Leverage modern AI technologies including: - Microsoft Copilot - Copilot Studio - Azure OpenAI - Azure AI Services - AI Agents Identify opportunities to improve: - Platform operations - Engineering productivity - Operational reporting - Intelligent self-service - Business process automation Support the adoption of Responsible AI practices, governance, and enterprise security standards. Data Platform & Hybrid Cloud Collaborate with Data Engineering teams supporting Customer360, Data Marketplace, Enterprise Analytics, and AI/ML initiatives. Contribute to: - Azure Data Factory - Synapse Analytics - Power BI - Dataverse integrations - Data platform modernization Partner with platform teams supporting Google Cloud Platform services, including BigQuery, GKE, Cloud Storage, IAM, and CI/CD automation, where Dynamics and enterprise data platforms integrate within UKG's hybrid cloud architecture. Security, Governance & Reliability - Implement Azure security best practices, including RBAC, PIM, Managed Identities, and Key Vault. - Improve platform observability through monitoring, alerting, logging, and operational dashboards. - Support SOX compliance, audits, access governance, and disaster recovery planning. - Drive continuous improvements in platform reliability, security, and operational excellence. Minimum Qualifications - B.Tech degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline. - 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise cloud platforms or business-critical applications. - 3+ years of experience administering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. - 4+ years of Azure cloud engineering experience. - Strong experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code. - Experience with automation using PowerShell and/or Python. - Experience with Power Platform and Dataverse. - Experience supporting production ERP environments. - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications - Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations certification. - Microsoft Azure certifications. - Microsoft Power Platform certifications. - Google Cloud certifications.
