Job Description Job Summary: The Head of Infrastructure will lead the end-to-end planning, engineering, execution, and handover of all site-wide infrastructure components for a large-scale integrated township in Pune. This role oversees external civil and utility systems—including roads, stormwater drainage, water supply networks, sewage treatment plants (STP), electrical sub-stations, telecommunication ducting, and streetscapes—ensuring timely delivery within budget, quality, and regulatory guidelines. Key Responsibilities - Technical Leadership & Master Plan Execution - Oversee the detailed execution of site infrastructure aligned with the township master plan. - Co-ordinate with master planners, infrastructure consultants, structural engineers, and MEP consultants to validate designs, utility loads, and construction drawings (GFCs). - Manage major civil infra scopes: - Rigid & flexible internal roads, asphalt paving etc. - Water supply distribution networks, underground sumps, overhead tanks, and WTPs. - Sewerage networks, storm-water drains, rainwater harvesting, and STPs. - Electrical infrastructure: HT/LT power distribution, RMUs, transformers, sub-stations, and DG sets. - Telecom ducting, piped natural gas (PNG) networks, and landscape infrastructure. - Statutory Approvals & Liaison (Pune/Maharashtra Region) - Liaison with local regulatory bodies including PMRDA (Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority), PMC / PCMC, MSEDCL, MPCB, and Central Ground Water Board. - Ensure all infrastructure complies with local building codes, National Building Code (NBC), and environmental safety norms. - Vendor Management & Procurement - Drive techno-commercial evaluations, tendering, contractor selection, and work order finalizations for major infra packages. - Administer contracts (FIDIC / item-rate), manage claims, variation orders, and monthly running account (RA) bills. - Enforce strict quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) protocols for bulk materials (ready-mix concrete, pipes, steel, earthwork filling). - Project Monitoring & Cost Control - Establish master project baseline schedules (Primavera P6 / MS Project) and track progress milestones. - Monitor project Cash Flows, Earned Value Management (EVM), and variance analysis to prevent cost overruns. - Manage site earthworks (cut-and-fill balances), rock blasting/excavation, and site grading optimization to minimize off-site disposal costs. - Safety, Sustainability & Handover - Lead a Zero-Harm safety policy across all site infrastructure operations. - Oversee commissioning and operational testing of all utilities (STP, WTP, electrical substations). - Drive smooth handover of completed utility infrastructure to the Township Operations & Maintenance (O&M) / Estate Management team. Job Expectations Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): - On-time completion of major utility networks matching residential/commercial unit delivery timelines. - Budget variance control across all allocated infra packages. - Zero major non-compliance or penalty notices from local bodies (PMRDA/MPC/PMC). - Achievement of target safety standards (Zero Lost Time Injury rate). Candidate Profile & Skills - Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of civil earthworks, road construction, underground utility laying, STP/WTP operations, and MSEDCL power norms in Maharashtra. - Software Skills: Hands-on understanding of MS Project / Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and ERP systems (SAP / Primavera / Highrise). - Leadership: Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams and large contractor workforces (500+ personnel). - Location Preference: Prior experience executing major real estate townships or large-scale industrial park infrastructure in the Pune real estate market. Minimum Qualification B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (M.Tech in Structural/Infrastructure Engineering or PMP certification preferred) Minimum Job Experience 10 - 15 Years Reporting To CMD Travel Yes
