We have an opportunity to impact your career and provide an adventure where you can push the limits of whats possible As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial Investment Banks Post Trade Technology team you play a vital role in an agile team dedicated to enhancing building and delivering reliable marketleading technology products in a secure stable and scalable manner As a key technical contributor you will be responsible for implementing essential technology solutions across diverse technical domains within various business functions all in support of the firms strategic objectives Job responsibilities Executes creative software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsDevelops secure highquality production code and reviews and debugs code written by othersLeads team adoption of enterpriseauthorized AIassisted engineering practices and SDLC TLM automation to improve delivery speed quality and operational outcomes while setting expectations for human validation secure handling of inputs outputs and consistent use of reusable patterns across teams Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain including enterpriseauthorized AIassisted development and automation capabilities to improve the value realized by automation and support capacity unlock initiatives Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsLeads evaluation sessions with external vendors startups and internal teams to drive outcomesoriented probing of architectural designs technical credentials and applicability for use within existing systems and information architectureLeads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leadingedge technologies Required qualifications capabilities and skills Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience In addition demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience Minimum 10 years of hands on development experience as a Java Full Stack and experience in UI Frameworks React with TypeScript Experience with cloud platforms Cloud Foundry and AWS AWS services ECS Postgres Lambdas Redis Handson practical experience delivering system design application development testing and operational stability Testdriven development Objectoriented and MVC experience Experience leading responsible adoption of enterpriseauthorized AIassisted development and delivery tools across engineering teams including defining ways of working review validation expectations measuring outcomes and ensuring secure handling of data Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows including data sensitivity considerations resiliency security implications and governance expectations ability to coach engineers on compliant and effective usage Working knowledge of Spring and Spring Boot 3 Experience in Terraform scripting messaging frameworks Kafka Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline e g cloud artificial intelligence machine learning mobile etc Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills Exposure to Copilot Open AI Experience working with RAG frameworks Knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
