The Role • A highly experienced Performance Test Lead to drive the non-functional testing strategy and execution for the SSE Keystone transformation program. • The role involves leading performance engineering initiatives to ensure scalability, stability, and reliability of billing systems and integrations during dual run operations and peak cycles. Your responsibilities: • It means more to own and drive performance testing strategy and roadmap, aligned to critical program milestones. • It means more to lead end-to-end performance engineering, from workload modelling and test design to execution and reporting. • It means more to shape systems for real-world scale, designing and executing load, stress, endurance, and volume tests. • It means more to build and lead high-performing teams, mentoring talent across geographies and driving delivery excellence. • It means more to partner with stakeholders, defining SLAs, NFRs, and acceptance criteria that ensure business confidence. • It means more to create realistic performance scenarios, validating complex billing, meter data, and system integrations. • It means more to gain deep system insights, monitoring performance and identifying bottlenecks through advanced tools and analysis. • It means more to solve critical performance challenges, leading root cause analysis and collaborating on system tuning. • It means more to embed performance in modern delivery, integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. • It means more to ensure go-live confidence, supporting dual-run validation and delivering robust performance sign-offs with zero compromise. Essential skills/knowledge/experience: • 12+ years of experience in Performance Testing and Engineering • Experience as Performance Test Lead in large transformation programs • Utilities, billing, or CIS experience preferred • Proven experience in managing teams and stakeholder engagement • Expertise in JMeter, LoadRunner, NeoLoad • Experience in performance monitoring tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics • Strong knowledge of workload modelling and system architecture • Experience with CI/CD integration and DevOps pipelines Desirable skills/knowledge/experience: • Strong leadership and team management skills • Excellent communication and stakeholder management • Ability to work in multi-vendor environment • Proactive risk management and decision-making
