Title: Sr QA Engineer Exp: 6+ Years Location: Hyderabad Working hours: 12.00pm to 9.00pm Education: Bachelors/ Masters degree in computer science or Software Engineering Responsibilities - Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes - Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process - Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases using Jira or any other Test Management tools - Hands-on experience in using the Jira or any other tools for test management activities - Hands-on experience with functional and non-functional testing - Good to have hands-on experience with automated testing tools - Strong knowledge on SQL Basics to validate the data of applications - Working experience on HTTPS protocol implementation testing is added advantage - Experience with performance and/or application-level security testing is a plus - Hands on API testing using postman or any other web services testing tool Qualifications - Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback - Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products/projects to meet client needs - Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities - Design, develop and execute test cases using test management tools - Perform thorough retesting and regression testing when bugs are resolved - Collaborate with QA Engineers and project managers to develop effective strategies and test plans - Consistently execute test cases (manual and/or automated) and analyses results in a timely manner - Liaise (Good Coordination) with internal teams (e.g. developers and product/project managers) in all the phases of SDLC. - Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle and Follow-through and conduct post-release/post-implementation testing - Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts - Effectively report bugs and errors to development teams - Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs using test management or defect tracking tools - Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies - Should have hand on experience in data base testing to validate the data showing in UI - API/Web Services testing is good to have - Experience with performance monitoring or errors debugging tools like fiddler, Dynatrace etc… - Should have experience in sending the daily or weekly test/bug status reports
