Description Performance Architect (10+ Years Experience) Location: Bangalore, India Experience: 10+ Years About the Role A Performance Test Architect designs and implements strategies to ensure software scalability, reliability, and speed underload. They bridge development and testing, defining test frameworks, identifying bottlenecks, and promoting "shift-left" practices. Experts in tools like JMeter, they analyze complex systems and provide performance tuning recommendations. Key Responsibilities - Define and own the performance architecture strategy across applications and platforms. - Design, script, and execute performance tests using JMeter (mandatory) to simulate real-world user behavior - Develop scalable load models and define robust test data management strategies - Establish performance benchmarks, SLAs, and KPIs across systems - Analyze performance test results and provide deep insights with actionable recommendations - Build and maintain real-time monitoring dashboards using Grafana - Identify system bottlenecks (application, database, network) and guide teams toward optimized solutions - Collaborate closely with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to embed performance early into the SDLC - Drive performance best practices, frameworks, and reusable solutions across the organization - Mentor junior engineers and lead performance engineering initiatives. Required Skills & Qualifications - 10+ years of experience in performance testing/engineering, with exposure to architecture-level responsibilities - Experience in performance testing strategies for front end and backend systems. - Strong hands-on expertise with Apache JMeter (mandatory) - Deep understanding of: - Performance testing types (load, stress, endurance, spike testing) - Performance engineering methodologies and architectural patterns - Proven experience in: - Designing enterprise-grade load models - Creating scalable test data strategies - Strong expertise in performance analysis, root cause identification, and tuning strategies - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills - Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments.
